Every year, the European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST) organizes this prestigious academic food science and technology conference where, world-renowned researchers, scientists, policy makers, professionals and students from multi-disciplinary food-related fields join the event to share the latest developments and create new partnerships.
This year, since the theme could not fit better, SHEALTHY will be there with a special session called “Mild processing innovations to preserve fresh fruits and vegetables” on the 3rd of November.
This session will give insights and present the latest results of SHEALTHY and another European project, FOX (Innovative down-scaled food processing in a box). Both ‘Research and Innovation Action’ projects have a specific look at new business opportunities for farmers and food small-medium sized enterprises, consumer engagement and sustainability aspects. Also, both projects are funded by Horizon2020 under the ‘SFS-16-2018 – Towards healthier and sustainable food’ and started in parallel in 2019 and will run until 2023.
